Sleep disorders can range from simple to complex or even life-threatening disruptions, not only to sleep, but also to breathing during sleep. The Memorial Hermann Sleep Disorders Center at Katy Rehab offers expert care for a wide range of sleep disorders. Our specialists collaborate to provide comprehensive care with an emphasis on assessing abnormal sleep and wakefulness and the effects of abnormal sleep on other medical disorders. If you have trouble sleeping, staying awake during the day, or experience behavioral issues while asleep, we help get to the root cause using sleep studies. Our sleep center is a high-end, hospital-based facility featuring individual bedrooms, each designed to resemble a comfortable bedroom in a home or hotel.
Our staff includes highly trained registered and certified technologists who work closely with doctors to provide accurate testing and exceptional care. These "sleep techs," who are all registered polysomnography technologists, observe patients overnight using an advanced computerized monitoring system to track breathing patterns, brainwaves, heart rate, eye and limb movements, and the sounds of the sleeping patient.
Results are evaluated by board-certified specialists who can diagnose and treat sleep-related disorders including, but not limited to:
