Dr. Ruiyang Jiang, MD

Dr. Ruiyang Jiang, who grew up in Denton, Texas, earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He did residencies in general surgery and urology at Duke University Medical Center, where he also completed a research fellowship in urology.

Dr. Jiang, who is board certified in urology, has been in practice since 2014 and speaks Chinese. He treats adult patients for a variety of urologic conditions including prostate enlargement, kidney stones, recurring urinary tract infections, cancer, low testosterone and erectile dysfunction. His special interests include robotic surgery, medical and surgical management of kidney stones and male erectile dysfunction.

His practice approach follows a step-by-step progression grounded in evidence-based medicine, while focusing on open and clear communication with patients. He guides them through difficult decisions by clearly explaining the risks and benefits of each treatment option, and he works to put patients at ease when they discuss sensitive issues.

He is a member of the American Urological Association. Dr. Jiang is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Dr. Jiang is married and the father of two children. Away from his practice, he enjoys tennis, cooking and eating.
