Dr. Ramaswamy Nithya, MD

Dr. Ramaswamy Nithya earned her medical degree at Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai, India, and completed her residency at the Children’s Medical Center of the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Science Center.

In practice since 1990, Dr. Nitya is board certified in pediatrics. She treats children from birth to age 18. Her primary clinical interests are childhood immunizations, preventive care and asthma.

Dr. Nitya enjoys working with children and their families and feels it is a rewarding experience to watch them grow up. Her patients give her excellent ratings, describing her as calm, patient, intelligent, caring, reassuring to parents and great with children. For the convenience and safety of patients and parents, her practice has separate waiting areas for sick and well children.

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Harris County Medical Association.

In her leisure time, Dr. Nithya enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and movies.
