Dr. Huaiguang Li, MD

Dr. Huaiguang Li received his medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center (formerly Beijing Medical University) in China. He completed residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York and conducted research with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Li has practiced internal medicine in Houston since 2004. He clinical interests include hypothyroidism, COPD, GI issues, lower back pain and osteoarthritis. He provides physicals, small surgical procedures and sutures, physical exams, vaccinations and well-woman exams. He also treats diabetes, hypertensive disorders and other medical conditions.

Dr. Li is fluent in Chinese and members of his office staff speak Spanish. He treats his patients as if they were family and combines his professional training and listening skills to ensure that his patients’ needs are met. He makes himself available to his patients when they need him.

Before coming to Houston, Dr. Li was an orthopedic surgeon in China for ten years and was on a visiting scholarship at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Hospital in Bologna, Italy. Throughout his training, he has received numerous academic scholarships.

A resident of Pearland, Dr. Li enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
