Dr. Cesar Nahas received his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He then completed an internship, a general and cardiothoracic surgery residency and a cardiovascular surgery fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of Dr. Michael DeBakey.

Board certified in thoracic surgery, Dr. Nahas has an expertise and extensive experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as vascular and endovascular surgery.

Before his appointment as medical director of the Cardiac Surgery Program at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, he was in private practice for 20 years and was instrumental in growing cardiac care in the Clear Lake area. After finishing his training, Dr. Nahas was a full-time faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine and was chief of the Cardiac Surgery Program at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS) and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association (STSA).

In his free time, Dr. Nahas enjoys traveling, music, high-performance car racing and especially spending time with his family.
