Memorial Hermann Health System is proud to announce that Amalia Maislos Stanton, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategic Communications and Marketing Officer, has been selected as a Reuters ‘Trailblazing Woman in Healthcare’ for 2026.
Reuters sought nominations from across multiple industries to honor women who continue to demonstrate inspirational, impactful leadership in their fields every day. Over 11,000 nominations were considered. The judging panel selected its final group of women based upon each nominee’s professional track record, influence, social impact and leadership.
In her role at Memorial Hermann, Stanton leads systemwide internal, external and strategic communications, as well as marketing, advertising and brand strategy for one of the region’s largest non-profit health systems. Since joining the health system, she has played a significant role in driving growth and brand awareness, as well as helping to build Memorial Hermann’s reputation as a leading, trusted, high-quality health care provider in Greater Houston and across the nation.
In addition, Stanton actively serves as a mentor within the Women Leaders of Memorial Hermann Employee Engagement group which inspires, engages and develops exceptional leaders across Memorial Hermann by empowering them to reach their personal and professional best.
