At The Women’s Center at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, caring for women of all ages has always been a priority. The affiliated team takes a patient-centered approach to delivering advanced heart, bone and breast care, as well as providing a broad range of gynecology, obstetric and neonatal services, including fertility services, urogynecology, high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, menopause care, pelvic floor health and neonatal intensive care. As a leading obstetric hospital, our labor and delivery unit provides mom and baby with a full range of specialized, comfortable care, including high-risk obstetrical and neonatal care within the same facility.
As a Level IV Maternal Facility, which denotes the highest level of care as designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital provides comprehensive care for both mom and baby. Our affiliated team provides care for pregnant and postpartum patients with low-risk conditions to the most complex issues as well as high-quality care for their babies. With the capability to provide cardiovascular and neuroscience specialty services as well as on-site access to a comprehensive range of medical and maternal subspecialists, patients are cared for by teams with expertise in caring for highly complex maternal patients throughout their labor and delivery journey.

About the Women’s Center
Labor & Delivery
Over 4,400 babies are delivered at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital last year. Private, state-of-the art labor and delivery suites feature superior clinical equipment, in addition to amenities for your convenience and comfort. The staff is trained to care for all childbirth needs, including high-risk obstetrics.
Newborn & Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is home to 1 of 4 Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Texas, which denotes the highest level of care, designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). As a Level IV NICU, our facility is capable of caring for babies born as early as 23 weeks and has a full range of pediatric medical and surgical specialists as well as affiliated pediatric anesthesiologists available onsite.
The Fetal Center
The Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is a leader in providing prenatal diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive care for babies with congenital anomalies or genetic conditions. The Fetal Center offers a complete range of prenatal testing and intervention along with a coordinated program for mother and child, where affiliated physicians from all service lines stand ready to provide treatment to both mother and baby before, during and after birth.
Obstetrics & GYN
The Women’s Center offers comprehensive, specialized gynecology services that range from diagnosis and prevention to treatment and management. We combine state-of-the-art equipment and techniques with highly skilled physicians, nurses and staff to deliver patient-focused care that is sensitive to and respectful of the unique issues women face.
Maternal Fetal Medicine
Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital and affiliated team with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston offers help to patients with high-risk obstetrical problems. Weather the patient starts with a high-risk pregnancy or develops a high-risk pregnancy, our affiliated team is able to customize treatment plans to meet every patient’s needs.
Obstetric Anesthesia
At the Women’s Center, the affiliated team provides comprehensive, specialized care to help keep mothers and their babies safe and comfortable before, during and after delivery. With our partners in the Division of Obstetric Anesthesiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, the Women’s Center earned the Center of Excellence designation from the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) in 2022 – an achievement that recognizes excellence in obstetric anesthesia care.
