Danielle never thought she would have an addiction. "It went from, oh, I would never spend $30 for a pill to every weekend, to every single day, and then to smoking heroin because it's cheaper, to shooting heroin because it worked," She says. She called her mom and told her that she had a problem and needed help. She then was admitted to PaRC. She said the people at PaRC helped her the most. They made her feel at home and allowed her to be honest about her feelings.
Her advice to others is "It's OK to ask for help. And it's going to be uncomfortable, and it's going to be hard, but the end result is completely worth it and just have to get through it and keep fighting because you never know. The life I have today, I never imagined I could have when I was out there."
