An 8 hour workshop (2 Saturday’s for 4 hours, with lunch provided) for dad’s with a baby in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU).
Day 1 (May 6th, 2023): Participants will be able to identify levels of stress and key symptoms of depression within the context of becoming a NICU dad. They will also learn behaviors of self-awareness, and the importance of self-care, including how to correctly apply use of the Beck Depression Inventory self-screening tool, and other strategies to cope with emotional and mental stress.
Day 2 (May 13th, 2023): Participants will be able to identify the characteristics and/or traits of a 24/7 Dad, including parenting and relationship skills and the importance of providing support to their partner and newborn during their emotional NICU journey.
