Volunteer Programs and Applications:

The Adult Volunteer Program is our year round program. This program is best suited for long-term volunteers that want to serve the hospital and its patients. Adult volunteers (minimum of 18 years old) are asked to commit to volunteering four hours a week for a minimum of one year.

Volunteers are educated about the importance of ethics and confidentiality, professional behavior and appearance, proper patient interaction, including age-specific competencies, universal precautions, infection control, fire safety and security.

If this program sounds like the opportunity you have been looking for, please contact the volunteer office via email at Jeanie.Mathews@memorialhermann.org to request an application.

Summer Program: This program is open to both high school (minimum age of 15 years old) and college students (18 to 24 years old and pursuing a career in healthcare). The program is in high demand and closes very quickly each year.  We have received our allotment of applications for the 2022 summer program, and have closed the application.  Information about the 2023 program will be updated on this page in January 2023.
