Dr. Annie Wang earned her medical degree at the University of Toronto, where she also earned a Master of Science in system leadership and innovation from the university’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. She completed her internship at the University of British Columbia, a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction and microsurgery, with a focus on breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Board certified by The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Wang has been in practice since 2018. She treats patients ages 18 and older and also speaks Chinese.

The combination of advanced degrees in medicine and innovation equips Dr. Wang with a unique perspective on improving patient care and surgical outcomes. Along with offering the full spectrum of techniques for breast reconstruction, she has further training in microvascular autologous breast reconstruction in which a patient's own tissue is used to restore a breast.

Dr. Wang serves as on the faculty of the Division of Plastic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Wang’s greatest joy is her family. In her free time, she loves painting, cooking and traveling. As a Canadian, she enjoys trying new restaurants in Houston that have a Canadian flair on the menu.
