Dr. Woo Hyun Sohn, MD

Dr. Woo Hyun Sohn earned his medical degree at Yonsei University College of Medicine in South Korea and completed his internship and residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Mich.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Sohn is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has practiced in Houston since 2000 and also speaks Korean.

He provides a full range of OB/GYN services from pregnancy and childbirth to annual well-woman visits and management of gynecological disorders. One of his major clinical interests is minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, including robotic procedures.

Dr. Sohn’s practice philosophy is to provide the compassion and expertise all patients look for in a health care provider. He creates personalized treatment plans that meet individual health care goals and gives patients time to think through their decisions. His patients credit him for being professional, easy-going, kind and caring and makes them feel comfortable.

Away from his practice, Dr. Sohn enjoys spending time with his family and listening to and playing jazz.
