Dr. Rajesh Ramineni, MD

Dr. Rajesh Ramineni earned his medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., and a fellowship in general cardiology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He underwent further advanced training in interventional cardiology and advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology at DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center in Houston.

Dr. Ramineni, who has been in practice since 2003, is board certified in four areas: internal medicine, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

His primary clinical interest is in performing complex peripheral, coronary and carotid interventions. He specializes in radial access heart catheterization (operating through the arm vessel). He also performs structural interventions, loop recorder implantations, vein disease evaluation, stenting and ablations.

Dr. Ramineni believes in a comprehensive, preventive, patient-centered approach for cardiovascular management. He spends considerable time with each patient to achieve this goal.

Away from his practice, Dr. Ramineni enjoys traveling and hiking with members of his family, with whom he shares an interest in learning about and understanding new cultures. He also loves photography.
