Dr. Kashmala Khan, MD

Dr. Kashmala Khan earned her medical degree at Islamic International Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at HCA-Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, where she served as chief resident, and a fellowship in cardiology at Baylor Scott & White in Round Rock, Texas, where she served as chief cardiology fellow.

Dr. Kashmala Khan is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine and echocardiography. She treats adult patients for a wide variety of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart attacks, chest pain, heart rhythm issues, structural heart disease and peripheral arterial disease. She also focuses on preventive cardiology and performs minimally invasive procedures.

Her primary clinical interests are coronary artery interventions, peripheral interventions and preventive cardiology in the female population, where cardiovascular disease is prevalent. In addition to English, she speaks Pashtun, Urdu, Hindi and Mandarin.

Her patient-centered approach to care is based on her belief that every person is unique. She listens to patients’ concerns and ensures that they understand what is going on, which gives them a firm base for informed, shared decision-making.

She wants her patients to sense that she treats them with kindness, compassion and respect. Her goal is for them to feel heard, know they can always ask questions and feel comfortable approaching her.
