Dr. Suresh Rajendran, MD

Dr. Suresh Rajendran earned his medical degree at Christian Medical College and Brown Memorial Hospital at Panjab University in Chandigarh, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Bronx Veterans Affairs Hospital in New York City.

In practice since 1986, Dr. Rajendran is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. His primary clinical interests are colon cancer, colon cancer screening, colon polyps, heartburn, hepatitis/hepatitis C, irritable bowel disease, therapeutic endoscopy and ulcers.

He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF) and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE). He also serves as a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Rajendran’s career in medicine was inspired by his parents and grandparents, whose careers served the public and the disadvantaged. Helping patients overcome their medical problems and make them feel better has always appealed to him and remains his primary professional objective. He understands the important of listening, being sensitive to individual needs and providing the compassion and focus each person deserves.
