Dr. Pamela Chung, MD

Dr. Chung will be leaving her practice with Memorial Hermann Medical Group (MHMG) on 06/10/2025. If you plan to continue your care with any other MHMG provider in the network, you do not need to take any action. All MHMG providers use the same electronic health record and your medical records will remain secure with MHMG. Should you seek health care outside the Memorial Hermann Health System and need your records released to you or to another physician, please visit Patient Service to complete your request.

Dr. Pamela Chung received her medical degree from McMaster University School of Medicine in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She then completed her residency training at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada where she later taught in the Family Medicine department.

Board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and a Certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Dr. Chung has clinical interests that center on well child care and pediatrics, chronic disease management, depression, anxiety and palliative care.  She speaks basic French and treats patients of all ages.

Dr. Chung's philosophy is to address the whole person and not just one disease or body part. She takes  the time needed to listen to her patients concerns and encourages then to be actively involved in their health care. She has a caring attitudes and a willingness to answer questions and explain all treatments.

Before coming to Houston, Dr. Chung practiced family medicine in Canada and served as medical director of a rural health clinic in North Texas. She also served as a hospice director and an inpatient hospitalist.

A Richmond resident, Dr. Chung is married and has one daughter. In her leisure time Dr. Chung likes cooking, crafts, quilting and is a fan of Formula 1® car racing.
