Dr. Cedeno Laurent is an Ivy-League trained dermatologist with extensive expertise in cutaneous oncology, complex medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. After obtaining his medical degree from Escuela de Medicina Ignacio A. Santos in Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Cedeno Laurent joined the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland to pursue a post-doctoral research fellowship on HIV-related skin conditions. He became so passionate about the role of the immune system in the development of skin disorders that he became the first Mexican national to receive a doctorate degree in Immunology at Harvard Medical School.
After the completion of his PhD, Dr. Cedeno Laurent trained as a resident in dermatology at the prestigious Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a one-year fellowship in cutaneous oncology (skin cancer) and has concentrated his latest efforts in the field of procedural and cosmetic dermatology.
Board certified in dermatology, he treats patients of all ages. For over 12 years, Dr. Cedeno Laurent has treated patients in the United States. His patients appreciate his honesty, reliability and availability, and they know they will be seeing him when they come in for their medical and cosmetic appointments. His practice encompasses the full breadth of dermatology services, including pediatric dermatology, laser surgery, in-house plastic surgery and a wide variety of cosmetic procedures. Dr. Cedeno Laurent speaks English and Spanish. He is committed to work with referring providers to accommodate their patients with urgent medical needs.
He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has received numerous national and international awards and his research has been presented in numerous conferences around the world and cited by nearly 500 scientific publications.
