Dr. Talha Ahmed earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Maryland-Midtown Campus in Baltimore and fellowships in cardiovascular and interventional cardiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Dr. Ahmed, who has been in practice since 2015, is board certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology and echocardiology, and he is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation®. He treats patients ages 18 and older and also speaks Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

With a clinical interest in cardiovascular diseases, Dr Ahmed treats conditions including, but not limited to, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart problems, patent foramen ovale (PFO), peripheral artery disease and peripheral venous disease.

His practice approach emphasizes patient-centered, empathetic, attentive, responsive and supportive care. He focuses on sharing decision-making and enhancing his patients' understanding of their diseases. He carefully explains rationale for treatment, making it easy to understand and follow along.
