Dr. Shanti Bansal, MD

Dr. Shanti Bansal graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, with a degree in biomedical engineering and computer science and with honors in engineering. He completed medical school and internship training in internal medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. He completed nuclear cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship work at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn. He went on to complete a fellowship in electrophysiology, ablation techniques and devices at Harbor-University of California Los Angeles Medical Center.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Bansal specializes in device implantation and management, SVT ablation and atrial fibrillation ablation. Fluent in Hindi, he delivers highly personalized and compassionate care.

The author of numerous publications, abstracts and books, Dr. Bansal is a member of the Houston Electrophysiology Association, American Medical Association and American Heart Association.

Away from the office, Dr. Bansal enjoys creating websites, computer programming and basketball.
