The Houston Rockets partnered with Memorial Hermann Health System and the Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) to renovate Moses Leroy Park, in Houston’s Third Ward. The renovations include repairs and improvements to both the pavilion and the court, including the addition of new basketball goals and new playground equipment.
The refurbishment of the basketball court, and others in Moody Park and Highland Park, is an extension of Memorial Hermann’s mission to improve the health and well-being of all Houstonians, and part of the system’s vision to create healthier communities, now and for generations to come as well as an integral part of the Rockets’ commitment to enrich the lives of youth by improving basketball courts and community centers in underserved communities.
The pavilion and court renovations at Moses Leroy Park were made possible through contributions by the Rockets Clutch City Foundation, Memorial Hermann’s Community Benefit Corporation, and the Houston Parks & Recreation Department.
