General Information

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is a Level IV Trauma Center and stands ready to meet the needs of critically ill or injured patients throughout the Sugar Land area. Young patients are treated in our specialized pediatric emergency room.

Children’s Emergency Center

The Children’s Emergency Center at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land is an 8-bed pediatric emergency room with nurses specialized in pediatric emergency medicine. The staff provides compassionate care by understanding that children react differently to stress, injury or certain medications. They care for even the youngest babies and help children of all ages reduce their stress and better understand what’s happening during their treatment and care.

Some of the conditions we frequently treat are:

• Ear infections
• Sore throat and strep throat
• Asthma, difficulty breathing or respiratory infection
• High fever
• Constipation, stomach pain and vomiting
• Broken bones
• Cuts that may require stitches

While the Children’s Emergency Center shares the same entrance as the adult Emergency Center, it has a separate dedicated space, waiting area and staff. Like the adult Emergency Center, the Children’s Emergency Center treats all emergencies from minor to life-threatening, with access to Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center when a higher level of care is needed. All diagnostics, including lab and state-of-the-art imaging, are readily available for any circumstance. Having access to our extensive affiliated pediatric medical staff allows us to draw upon the expertise of a wide variety of affiliated specialists, at any time needed.

Parking Information

Surface lot parking is available around the building. The Emergency Center is located on the backside of the hospital. EC parking spaces are available by patient drop off.
